Since 2011, Be A Christ to the Poor Foundation has not had a director in Uganda. We are assessing our various projects, including the piglets’ project and hoping to name a new director at some point. We are grateful to Fr. Anthony Bingi, pastor of St. John the Baptist parish in Bulindi, Hoima Diocese, for his services. As of now, the foundation has no more ties with him. Who are the rural poor of Uganda?

More than two thirds of the country’s poor people are small farmers. They are scattered all over the country. They make up approximately 80% of the population.
